How to assure your autonomous system in its environment

We have developed the first methodology that defines a detailed process for creating a safety case for autonomous systems. Our Safety Assurance of autonomous systems in Complex Environment (SACE) guidance takes the autonomous system and its environment and defines a safety process that leads to the creation of a safety case for the system.

SACE has eight iterative stages. It incorporates a set of safety case patterns and a process for systematically integrating safety assurance into your development of autonomous systems.
